Well I have washed it a few times already. The paint got a tiny little bit off but it's not that bad. I wouldn't recomment washing it too often though. But yes, you can wash it  a few times without a problem

I don't think I can afford using acrylic paint, I'm not too good with a brush...
Do you think fabric pens will work?

(This is kinda late I know but) you can get acrylic paint bottles for 50¢ each at Walmart

Well I'm afraid we don't really have Walmart in our country (^-^; but thanks anyway (^w^)

And my sister got a heap load of acrylic paint tubes around a month or so after I asked that question so she gave me some and I already finished my hoodie and even did a simple cosplay last year (just walking around in a matryoshka hoodie and meeting fellow matryoshka cosplayers)

Well I've never used those.
My advice would be try it out on a useless piece of fabric

Well it's kinda hard to find a 'useless' piece of fabric around my house :P They often get thrown out or stolen by cats or mice before I could do anything T^T
I'll try to get my hands on some before that happens again XD

It depends on the paint.
With acrylic, you have to wait seventy two hours and then turn the jacket inside out in order to wash.
Wash cold with brights, then it's better to hang dry and use a blow dryer to dry it off, or you can put it on the setting used for knits and sensitive wear.
But you have to do that every time you wash it, or else the pain will fade faster.

I'm likely going to do this same design except I'm using a black hoodie so I'll be using red paint instead of black xD Thanks though c:

I'm planning on cosplaying as Matryoshka Gumi this year and was planning on making a jacket myself, so this is really helpful and cool.

However I was wondering if washing the jacket would make the paint come off or mess it up in some other way. Your tutorial was really helpful, but please get back to me as soon as you can. Thank you!
